5. Rustic Farmhouse Wood Bead Garland
Wood bead garlands are a staple in minimalist modern farmhouse styling, typically retailing at high markups in home decor boutiques.
- Supplies: Wooden craft beads (varying sizes), natural jute twine, scissors, a piece of cardboard.
- How to Make: Thread natural wooden beads onto a 3- to 4-foot length of jute twine, alternating small and large sizes or mixing painted cream beads with raw wood. Create tassels for both ends by wrapping twine around a piece of 4-inch cardboard 20 to 30 times, tying off the top loop, cutting the bottom loops, and binding the neck with another piece of twine. Tie the finished tassels to each end of your beaded strand and drape it across a tiered tray, over a stack of hardcover books, or around a pumpkin cluster.
